मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात् ॥
Om Try-Ambakam Yajaamahe
Mrtyor-Mukssiiya Maa-[A]mrtaat ||

2: Who is Fragrant (as the Spiritual Essence), Increasing the Nourishment (of our Spiritual Core);
3: From these many Bondages (of Saṃsāra) similar to Cucumbers (tied to their Creepers),

The Rudra Mantra or Mahamrityunjaya Mantra (Sanskrit: महामृत्युंजय मंत्र or महामृत्युञ्जय मन्त्र, mahāmṛtyuṃjaya mantra or mahāmṛtyuñjaya mantra, lit. "Great Death-conquering Mantra"), also known as the Tryambakam Mantra, is a verse (sūkta) of the Rigveda (RV 7.59.12).
The sūkta is addressed to Tryambaka, "The Three-eyed One", an epithet of Rudra. It is identified with Shiva in Shaivism sect. [source]
According to many, chanting the mantra releases a string of vibrations that realigns the physical body ensuring vibrations that realigns the physical body ensuring good health. It bestows longevity, wards off calamities and prevents untimely death. It also removes fears and heals holistically.
It is prescribed to chant the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra 108 times. 108 has long been considered a sacred number in Hinduism and yoga.
The numbers ‘1’, ‘0’ and ‘8’ separately signify ‘oneness’, 'nothingness' and 'everything', respectively.
Renowned mathematicians of Vedic culture viewed 108 as a number of the wholeness of existence. This number also connects the Sun, Moon, and Earth: The average distance of the Sun and the Moon to Earth is 108 times their respective diameters.
A Mala is used for counting as you repeat a mantra, much like the Catholic rosary. Traditionally, Mala or Rudraksha rosary, garlands of prayer beads, come as a string of 108 beads (plus one for the "guru bead," around which the other 108 beads turn like the planets around the sun).

2. Loving kindness meditation (metta bhavana)
3. Contemplation of the unattractive nature of the body (asubha bhavana)
4. Recollection of death (marananussati bhavana)
